The Future of Recruitment

Just like the general advertising industry has already discovered, the age of people spending their free time searching across the internet for what they want is coming to an end. People are becoming more and more reliant on the information coming to them.

This is why e-commerce platform such as Amazon & Ebay advertise their products to you on the websites you already use, such as Facebook and Google; because it works.

What does this mean for Employers?

Relying too heavily on job boards to attract the right people for your jobs will lead to you becoming out of touch with the market in the very near future. You need to be able to reach the right people in the places where they already congregate online, rather than waiting for them to take the time to fill in a profile of themselves on a job board and upload a CV, that is if they even bother to do this.

The way people consume information has changed significantly over the last 10 years and those who want to successfully attract candidates going forward need to keep pace with these changes. The evolution of the recruitment industry as a whole is a question of when not if; and those who want to be able to attract the best people need to be ready for it. Are you?
